That was probably in the fine print, yes. I just wanted to see beyond a shadow of a doubt.

About Me:
I think our minds have been muddled with too much established art-school nonsense. Especially when we pay so much, putting our talent in the hands of a systematic method of creating art. Go ahead, be the "next Marcel Duchamp", try to follow Andy Warhol's footsteps... but when it comes right down to it, you may have just spent a lot of money on something that has actually decreased your individuality. I have a lengthy family history of bipolar disorder and Eisenhowerian discipline, but when I was going through art school and watching my father exploit my young income, I chose to abandon dwelling on it, and now I'm a much happier person. Life is way too short to not take initiative for yourself. I didn't grow up with folk art or take much interest in the "art world", even though my Aunt Theresa does installations from time to time when she's not doing journalism, and my grandma and grandpa's father were both painters. Instead I grew up on comics and video games, and while many of them are "trite" and "unrealistic", that's the whole point! Outside from that, however, I took a deeper interest in the observations of authors like Philip K. Dick and Neal Stephenson, who, while laughing at life, can delve into it just as seriously as any hard-boiled intellectual elitist. I like psychotropic reality, and I'm interested in looking into the innate meaning of "things" in our civilization. I've been agreeing lately that consciousness is gathered experience, and all you can really pass on to your children is your own knowledge gained from experience.
