Personal

About Me:
My first drawing series (Cowboys) was completed when I was 4 years old. I started taking photos at the age of 7. I have a B.S. (Bachelor of Science) degree in theater and radio-television from B.S (Ball State) University, and have kissed the Blarney Stone (B.S.). I am the third generation of my family to work for a newspaper. For a month, I had a great career as an actor, appearing in featured roles in a motion picture ("Desert Bloom"), national television series ("Webster"), and a national commercial (Sears). (No B.S.) I attempted being a fine-art painter for 10 years, actually managing to sell less than one piece a year, and retired my brushes when I ran out of storage space for my paintings. I own the world's largest collection of J. Randall Harris paintings and drawings. In the mid-80's I became fascinated with the advent of computer graphics and took some classes at Pima College, qualifying  for a position in the Creative Services Department at Tucson Newspapers. I became Illustrator, Cartographer and Typographer for the Tucson Citizen 10 years ago. I am very grateful to have a day job doing art-related things with health benefits.
