I met Andy Warhol at a "rare" book signing in the early 80's in Philadelphia. He signed the book and a copy of Interview Magazine. And talked to me for a few minutes. He wasn't shy at all.

I knew Bob Rauschenberg.  I have been to his studio on Captiva Island...it is big and very white.  The studio was spotless and his paint brushes were massive.   Before  Bob got sick, he would come to the gallery I manage for some of the openings.  We hosted his and Darryl Pottorf''s "Art for Life" exhibit at the gallery in 2004.  He was funny, witty and nice.  Through him I have met Sharon Stone, Lily Thomlin, Lauren Hutton, Don Gummer and the great Meryl Streep.

When I lived in NY, I met a few celebrities on the street and all were nice, but the ONLY one who made me mumble and need to speak up and made me nervous was when I met John Waters (of Pink Flamingos fame).  I was very excited to meet him.  He used to eat at the same diner I did on Sunday mornings and I talked with him when he was finished and outside the restaurant.  He was extremely nice and patient and we had a very nice but brief chat.  I sent him some of my cartoons and he sent me back a great postcard with an image of two drag queens huffing glue out of a paper bag from one of his movies... I still have it tacked up.

 Let's see

I've met Huey Lewis, Jay Leno, I shook hands with Gerald Ford when I was a kid. I met 80's Olympic Hockey Goalie Jim Craig- what a jerk!

I had a few minutes to photograph Fiona Apple. I had dinner with Holland Taylor and Laura Linney while working on the set of the Truman Show shooting with Interview Magazine. I photographed a member of Nine Inch Nails- I did not meet Trent but I did see his Porsche- that was a fun day.

Earle  Brown was  interesting- he was the retarded guy in Something About Mary and is still looking for his baseball- hung out with him at his office in Burbank.

I photographed Bart Starr and tried on his Super Bowl I ring. I spent several days with Michael Jordan. I met Don Knotts

I shot Alan Toussaint, Little Jimmy King (Albert King's grandson)

I spent a day at Scotty Moore's house in Nashville photographing him for a personal project.

Mr. Moore was the original guitarist for Elvis. Scotty was great and the stories he told were tremendous. He was very gracious and cordial.

I talked a little with Ed Asner as he was purchasing a shirt at the GAP in Los Angeles.

back in the 80's - i worked at a small but very cool club which hosted a private party for keith haring and herb ritts.  i was the lucky girl assigned to serve cocktails to their table all evening.  they were both very charming  - keith haring was shy and so lovely.  he drew a painting on the wall of the club.  they cut it out of the sheetrock when they closed down.  so sad they are both gone now.

I met Bill Cosby before I knew much about him. He was dressed in a paramedic outfit ( for a movie ), and started asking me a bunch of questions. I didn't recognize him. When I got back to the office, everyone asked me if I had met Bill Cosby. They said he was visiting a friend and was shooting on a movie, where he was  a paramedic with Rachel Welch? I said, yeah I think I ran into him. Duh, I didn't know who he was. ~1974

Got an autographed photo of Gary Puckett...Had the opportunity to hang out backstage with Charles Neville of the Neville brothers for a while...He was wicked cool... Met Penn and Teller on a few occasions in Las Vegas...My wife got to play a version of Peter and the Wolf, brilliantly adapted and narrated by Teller...(She also played on tour with Andre Bocelli, played for Jean Pierre Rampal, went to school with Harry Connick Jr and alot of the Marsalis's down in New Orleans) She also met  Stephen Wright (who liked one of my jokes).

I have quite a few stories so I will jump to one of my favorites I met a band from the 80's called The Outfield, went to many of their shows and would chat with them, rode in their tour bus for like 15 minutes chatting with them while they went from the club back to the hotel to pick up the left behind band member, befriended one of their roadies who became a back up singer, I still keep in touch with him to this day :)

i would've loved to meet Andy Warhol!

I've met Jenna Bush (Presidents daughter) privately because of my work with UNICEF, Shaq the monster basketball player, the 2 girls from the Hills-a stupid reality show on mtv. I see a lot of celebrities, especially at Whole Foods out here in Beverly Hills. The guy Zach De La Rocha or however he spells it from Rage Against The Machine is a regular at starbucks around where i live. Some band members here and there, Bret Michaels and CC Deville of Poison...

But Andy Warhol takes the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat Boone the singer when we both were much younger and at a golf promo.

Yep! he had his white bucks on and looked super, but shorter than I imagined.

We both dived for the last deviled egg.

True gentleman that he was I got the egg ,as later more came out from the kitchen.

I met Arturo Vega a couple weeks ago. He was pretty cool. Definitely not as well known as he should be. Same goes for one of the original Jim Henson puppeteers I found out I was related to and ended up staying with in NYC.

I've also met Bush, Sr. a couple times, but considering I live where he has a summer home, it's not such a big deal - everyone here sees him here and there.

I've met a few musicians from bands such as the Dropkick Murphys, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, TAT, etc... but while they're pretty cool nowadays, I've never run into a real "classic" off-stage.

Bill Clinton.  Hillary Clinton.  Alex Haley.  Dottie Rambo.  Hal Ketchum.  Kim Catrell.  Robin Byrd.  Carol Burnett's daughter Erin (not really a famous person, oh well).  Ralph Stanley.

I took a walk in the woods the other day. When I shouted, no echo came. Only praise.
